About ImgLab

ImgLab is a collection of free online image tools that work entirely in your browser. Unlike other online image tools, we don't upload your files to any server — all processing happens locally on your device using your browser's built-in capabilities.

How It Works

Our tools use the browser's native Canvas API to process images. When you drop an image into our tool:

1. The image is loaded into memory in your browser
2. It's drawn onto an invisible HTML5 canvas element
3. The canvas re-encodes the image with your chosen settings
4. The result is available for download — directly from your browser's memory

At no point does any data leave your device. You can even use these tools offline once the page is loaded.

How we stay free

ImgLab is funded by advertising displayed on the page, not by selling your data. We don't collect, store, or have access to your files — ever. Your images are processed locally in your browser, and our revenue comes solely from ads. That's how we keep everything free, with no limits and no hidden costs.
