Terms of Service
Welcome to ImgLab. By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Description of Service
ImgLab provides free, browser-based image and PDF processing tools. All file processing occurs entirely within your web browser using client-side technologies (Canvas API, pdf-lib, pdfjs-dist). Your files are never uploaded to any server. ImgLab does not store, access, or transmit your files.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree to use ImgLab only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Use the service to process illegal, obscene, or harmful content
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the tools
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the site in a manner that degrades performance for other users
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers connected to the service
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
3. Intellectual Property
The ImgLab website, its design, logo, source code, and educational content are the property of ImgLab and are protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of this site without prior written permission.
Your files remain yours. ImgLab claims no ownership or rights over any images or documents you process using the tools. Since all processing happens locally in your browser, we never have access to your files.
4. Privacy and Data
Your use of ImgLab is also governed by our Privacy Policy. In summary: your files never leave your device, and we do not collect personal information except through optional advertising cookies (Google AdSense) that require your explicit consent.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
ImgLab is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- The results obtained from the tools will be accurate or reliable
- Any defects in the service will be corrected
Image and PDF processing quality depends on your browser's capabilities and your device's hardware. Results may vary across different browsers and devices.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ImgLab and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data or files
- Loss of profits or business opportunities
- Damage resulting from reliance on the tools' output
- Service interruptions or unavailability
Since all processing occurs locally on your device, you are responsible for maintaining backups of your original files before processing.
7. Third-Party Services
ImgLab uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Your interaction with these advertisements is governed by Google's own terms and policies. ImgLab is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party advertisers.
8. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of ImgLab after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
